Ethnic Indian Wear Office Attire

Ladies, yesterday's blog featured African attire for the office which can be worn on Emancipation Day.

While I wanted to do one post on ethnic wear, it was too much content.

Today's post features Indian ethnic wear that can be worn at the office. In Trinidad & Tobago Indian wear are allowed in companies mainly for two religious holidays; Divali & Eid ul Fitr.

Ladies let's take a look at some of the stylish, traditional but yet corporate outfits.

SAREES

The most popular traditional Indian wear. A saree is simply a piece of cloth which is draped around the body and is often worn with a short or long blouse. Once you are wearing a saree to work it is highly recommended not to expose your tummy therefore an appropriate top should be worn.

Ladies if you are uncertain how to wrap a saree let's assist.

 SALWARS

These are worn by both men and women. A long dress worn over a slim fitted pants. The dresses or long tunic (Kameez) are usually sleeveless but comes with additional material to attach the sleeves. Sleeveless or with sleeves both are can be worn at the office. Additionally, there is a long scarf (Dupatta)which can be draped around the neck, your shoulders or hands. This is my favourite.

Ladies don't be afraid to accessorize your outfits it's the bangles and head pieces are allowed for that day.  Gentle reminder no exposure of the tummy or back is allowed.
