Your boss has nominated you to represent the company or department at a Conference and the attire is Business Casual.

Business Casual? What exactly does Business Casual means?

Can you dress professionally yet casual?

Business Casual is simply a more relaxed style of clothing however, still remaining professional compared to the traditional formal business wear.

So what should should be worn to a conference if the attire is Business Casual?

Let's take a look at some tips

Women

  • Keep them simple. White, Black, Neutral or Pastel Colours
  • Pattern blouses are acceptable
  • NO THIN STRAPPED VEST
  • Ladies avoid exposure of cleavage

Dresses & Skirts

  •  Fashionably conservative
  • Short (2 inches about the knee) or Knee length
  • Straight cut or A-Line

Ladies you maybe able to get away with a sleeveless blouse or dress but I will always recommend to walk with a cardigan or a blazer.
