Its that time of the year again where organizations in Trinidad & Tobago are buzzing with functions for their staff and customers.

We ponder on what should we wear to that customer cocktail function or the end of year function.

Today I will feature some corporate tips for your upcoming Corporate Customer Cocktail function.

Most customer cocktail function in Trinidad and Tobago do follow a strict formal dress code.

• Therefore ladies, no need to wear long dresses, if you do keep it simple.
• Men, ties are not necessary shirt paired with a long trousers is suitable. You may want to spice it up with an elegant blazer.

There are some favourite colours that we love to wear at this time of the year and there are some fashionable clothes.

Professional Natural Hairstyles for African Women

Thanks you readers/viewers for requesting a post on professional natural hairstyles.

I am currently struggling and transitioning back to my natural hair and oh boy it's really a struggle.

Just like you my mind is racing everyday and these questions frequently arise

• 'How should I comb my hair for work today?'
• 'How would I comb my hair when I have decided to go completely natural?'

Sooooo ladies I decided to do some intensive research on professional  natural hairstyles for African women. This certainly assisted me and I hope it helps my readers.

Short Hair Style

Don't be afraid to rock your hair short or very low. I'm still trying to build the confidence to rock a short style hence the reason I'm toggling between natural and relaxed hair.  Here are some pictures of professional short styles.

Corporate fashion does not have to be your boring grandfather's over sized suit that was worn in the 1980's

So guys what should you wear to the office?

Typically most men in Trinidad & Tobago wear only wear shirt and tie to the office.

Very rare suits are worn, unless you are an executive or attending a high powered meeting.

Here are some useful tips.

• Throw out those over sized shirts and baggy bags 
• Wear well tailored shirt and pants - Don't wear your clothes too tight 
• Pants colours black, dark blue, brown or grey

• 
  
• Have a mixture of shirts (Plain, Stripe, Checkers)
• Mix those colours (White, Black, Brown, Blue,Green)
• Don't be afraid to wear pink (Pink looks good guys any complexion, any race)

Rule # 1 - White socks are not, I repeat are not allowed with business attire.

Rule #2 - Plain cotton or wool socks guys. Black, blue, grey or brown. Remember, your socks must match your shoes please do not wear a grey socks with brown shoes

Office Wear for Women

I consider having a company provide a corporate uniform a blessing. There is no need to determine what outfit should I wear today, is this appropriate. Although I love fashion, the thought of selecting an outfit for five days of the week is very daunting.

Soo ladies, for those of you that have to go through this task on a weekly let's look at some professional outfits that can be selected from Monday to Friday.

It's Thursday 

It's almost Friday, but I don't want to look like I'm ready for the weekend. Try an outfit with a twist or a simple red suit. I love red suits.
